The Horizon elevating roof gives the VW ID. Buzz a full-length roof bed and standing room while sitting no more than 15 mm above the original roof when closed. Buzz Conversions fits it at Buzz HQ in Kent, on its own or as part of our Full Camper conversion from £18,995.

The Horizon Sport roof uses an aircraft-grade aluminium safety frame and heavy-duty stainless steel hinges, with a twin-hinged, quad gas ram roof bed and marine-grade, Teflon-coated canvas. It lifts high enough to sleep either way round and sit fully upright, and the bi-fold bed pushes aside in the day for walking room. It supports roof bars up to 60 kg and solar panels up to 400 W, and the bed takes an estimated 300 kg.
You can have the Horizon roof fitted on its own, or choose our Full Camper: the Full Day Van with the roof in place of the ceiling panels, a black carpeted bed area, a matching cab headlining, RGB sleeping-area lighting and dimmable warm white main lighting. The Full Camper is £18,995 including VAT and fitting, with a coloured roof wrap for +£595.
See the roof in detail on our Horizon roofs page.
Yes. We fit the Horizon elevating roof to the VW ID. Buzz at Buzz HQ in Kent, on its own or as part of our Full Camper conversion.
It lifts 1.2 m at the front and 0.5 m at the rear, enough to stand, change and sit fully upright in the bed.
When closed it sits no more than 15 mm above the original roof, so the van keeps a low, factory look.
Our Full Camper, with our most popular day van package and the Horizon roof, is £18,995 including VAT and fitting.
