Turning an ID. Buzz Cargo into a day van, step by step
You can turn a VW ID. Buzz Cargo into a day van in stages or all at once. Start with rear seats and sliding door glass (£3,895), add our panel system, ceiling and lighting for a Semi Day Van (£8,195 in total), or go to a Full Day Van with a new floor (from £8,645). Every price includes VAT and fitting at Buzz HQ in Kent.

Step 1: seats and glass
Our Kombi-Seat conversion adds 2+1 rear seats on our own subframe and VW original glass in both sliding doors. Your Cargo now carries five people. Add underfloor soundproofing (£395) while the floor is up.
Step 2: lining, ceiling and lighting
The Semi Day Van strips the load area and adds Dodo soundproofing and insulation with a moisture barrier, our side panels in premium carpet, a ceiling with 2-way LED light strips and a quilted headlining, and the bulkhead surround trim. It keeps the Cargo floor.
Step 3: a new floor and more windows
The Full Day Van uses DodoPro soundproofing throughout and lets you choose a split lower floor, which drops the front half for about 80 mm more head height and adds floor storage (+£1,250), and rear quarter windows (+£600). This is our most popular package, at £10,495.
Step 4: sleep in it
Add the Horizon Pop-Top roof for our Full Camper, with a 2.15 m roof bed, at £18,995 including VAT and fitting.

Can I do the conversion in stages?
Yes. Each stage builds on the one before, so you can start with seats and glass and add the lining, floor or roof later.
What is the difference between a Cargo and a day van?
A Cargo has two or three front seats and a bare load area. A day van adds rear seats, windows and a finished, insulated interior while keeping useful load space.
